General Engineering Services
C & C Machining & Engineering has experience in a range of general engineering services:
- General machining, including all turning, milling and facing operations.
- Gear and spline-shaft repair and manufacture.
- Metal spraying.
- Cast iron housings-welded and machined.
- Aluminium TIG and MIG welding; repair of corrosion damage in alloy castings.
- Repair of internal and external needle roller areas. (see photo below)
- Cylindrical and surface grinding. (At right)
- Steel profile cutting to 150mm thick.
- Internal keyway broaching and slotting; from 2mm wide in a 10mm bore to over 275mm long in castings 1.5M in diameter and 1 ton in weight.
- Seal-areas: repair of hydraulic and steering pump shafts, transmission yokes and diesel pump shafts.
Earthmoving Services
Ramshaft re-rodding (see hydraulic services) with induction hardened chrome bar is a reliable, cost effective alternative to re-chroming. Couple this with the shorter turn-around times and it is an attractive proposition.
Ripper frame rebuilds; all worn holes are rebuilt and re-machined to ensure perfect alignment.
Duocone seal area rebuilds in sprockets, carriers, final drive housings and idlers; bull gear hub bearing area repairs in all sizes. (See examples below)
Duplicate parts; ripper pins, hardened bushes, ball ends and cupped bushes.
Boring and sleeving of worn bearing areas in gearboxes and transmission housings.
