Pump and transmission shafts with worn splines can be reclaimed using a special work-hardening high nickel stainless alloy. This gives a surface hardness of approximately 25-30 Rockwell "C" ensures an economical service life.
Gear, spline and transmission shaft services: a new end can be put on almost any shaft to bring it close to new part quality or in some cases to a higher standard. When a replacement part cannot be sourced quickly or greater strength is required, this is a viable option.

Sometimes an isolated fault or localised damage can render an otherwise serviceable part completely useless. In these circumstances local repair can be quite cost effective especially when machinery has only light or sporadic duties to perform.
Gears can be manufactured for special applications in most materials including bronze, stainless steel, cast iron, high tensile, case hardening steel, fibre and most plastics. We can produce single and multi-start worm gears, helical and spur gears with plain bores as well as with keyways, tapered bores and tapered and parallel splines.
